as the title suggests. good evening.

i haven't updated this website generally in about 5 months according to neocities stats, and i haven't made another of these makeshift blog posts in even longer (9 months. oops)

in my defense, i finished my final university assignment about 44 hours ago as of time of writing this, and i was pretty swamped before that point with uni work, society work, and actual job work (working at an airport sucks, don't do it)

i suppose this post sort of serves as a declaration of intent to return to working on this website again, if only to practice my html and the like and also just to have a place to put things. i always intended for this to be a personal kind of space outside of social medias that i have, though not unconnected, and i'd like to potentially start using it as a sort of hub for the projects that i want to return to working on now that im just over a month away from officially graduating university (isn't that weird? four years of uni, an entire life of school, and now it's over. not with a bang, but with a whimper.)

i'll expand that declaration of intent to say that i, at the very least, would like to start working on a cyberpunk vampire the masquerade tabletop setting to play with my friends, and also 'the teller', the interactive fiction game concept on the workshop in the works in progress section. i won't overestimate myself on being able to work on anything else between those things but i imagine i'll be bouncing between them and a lot of other projects i had to put aside for the sake of academics.

so. i had intended to set this up as a proper cutesy blog page with an archive and read more sections and all sorts, and then i quickly realised i have no idea how to do that by myself, im not willing to figure it out, and most guides out there assume your ENTIRE WEBSITE is going to be a blog, which isn't the case for me.

so in the interest of my own time (and sanity) and the fact that i hardly update this website anyway (sorryyy), i'm just going to sort of. put them in here. like this one! over time, if i make enough posts, i think i'll create a new archive page and shove them in there rather than having them clog up in here.

for my first blog post (ohoho how fancy of me) i actually have a decent amount to talk about! but i will condense it because this font kind of sucks for long term reading :(

i went to a festival! it was actually a week today that it ended, and it was really fun! if you live in the UK and have the opportunity next year, the Conclave of Chaos (name potentially changing after the events of this year) is really worth the trip!
i've played through most of Baldur's Gate 3 which has inspired me to perhaps give D&D another go as a DM this time :) I DMed a few times in high school to some friends that really didn't care, which was discouraging, but i've been having a lot of fun making a map and thinking about stuff! my plan is to start the campaign with a doctored version of Curse of Strahd, and then continue with an original storyline :)
the only other thing happening rn is that i'm super broke until my student finance comes in but that's not interesting. i think i overestimated how interesting i am as a person
i'm planning to join a circus club to learn how to play with fire? that's interesting right??
